My name is Dodger and I am looking for my fur-ever family! I’m a little shy/reserved at first but when I warm up to my family, I am a love bug. I love playing and I am great on a leash. I would be your best walking partner! I am a good boy if you leave me alone for a little while to run errands too. I have some disabilities that leave me feeling a little guarded (I’m blind in one eye and completely deaf*) but as soon as I feel safe and comfortable, I’m a happy boy!

My fur-foster parents are working on hand signals for sitting, shaking and laying down. I am a quick study, especially with yummy treats as a reward. I sleep really well in my crate at night and sometimes have to be woken up to go outside to do my outside business.

Cats might be ok, but i can be a little rough because I want to play. I am somewhat dog selective and might be best in a household with possibly one other dog or very slow integration with multiple dogs. I have not been around little children at my fur-foster’s home, but my fur-foster parents think I would do better in a home with older children.

*Deaf Dogs Rock is a fantastic resource for all things related to deaf dogs.
