Whether it be playing fetch with you, knocking and chasing a ball around by himself, or tossing around and pouncing on his soft squeaky toys, Fitz is always a happy pup. His favorite activity, however, is playing with his 2 year old boxer/pit mix foster sister, Kona. These two will wrestle and run for hours! Fitz walks fairly well on a leash, although he will pull and tug when out on a walk with Kona, as he would rather play with her than walk, we are working on this. Fitz is crate trained but not completely house broken – this is another thing we’re working on with him.
I believe Fitz would do best with an active family or at the very least in a home with another active, playful dog to help him burn off some of his endless energy. He still possesses a lot of puppy like behavior but he is a very fast learner and a complete joy to be around. I would probably recommend children in the home be a little older only because I could foresee him inadvertently toppling over a toddler while just being playful. Fitz truly seems like a happy go lucky dog and I believe would provide lots of joy and laughter to any family lucky enough to adopt him.
