Punkin entered my home with love to give and she wiggled her way into my heart immediately. From day one, she was sweet, gentle, energetic and very loving. Punkin is the best sidekick to have whether itaking a walk around a neighborhood, playing fetch, cooking in the kitchen (she loves trying to catch the fallen bits), or cuddling up on the couch.

Whenever new friends stop by, Punkin loves greeting them with those famous “boxer leans” and sweet wiggles, and she always wants to show off a toy in her mouth. Although it may take a little longer for her to warm up to fellow dogs, Punkin is very friendly when introductions are slow and supervised. She would do well as an only dog in her fur-ever home but may also do well with a submissive, playful male dog. Punkin as a high prey drive so she’s not a good fit for a home with cats.

Punkin is on the curvy side and one may call her a “foodie,” but her exercise has been limited due to her recent ACL repair. Although she still walks with a limp at times, we believe it’s due to the length of time her ACL has been torn. Luckily, she doesn’t show any signs of pain or discomfort and she continues to work towards a successful rehab.

Punkin is crate trained and house trained, walks well on leash and rides well in the car. When out on walks, Punkin is very eager to meet people – she’s always friendly and greets new friends with wiggles and excitement. Punkin absolutely loves people and thrives off of attention and companionship.
