Tramp – December, 2015

“The one and only Tramp came to us as a foster in July, 2013. Despite his blindness and deafness, Tramp lived life to the fullest and quickly figured out how to navigate his way around our house and enjoyed exploring our 6 acres. He was a wonderful companion to our other NCBR rescue boxer, Jane. Tramp quickly became a member of our family and there was no way I would allow him to leave our care. He had a grand and glorious 2 1/2 years with us and I wish it could have been longer.

About 4 months ago, his back legs started to give out and the deterioration was swift and aggressive. So heartbreaking to witness and we made the difficult decision to help him cross the rainbow bridge. His presence is missed and there is quite a void in our home. Its only been a few days, and I constantly look for his sweet face waking me up, the sound of him lumbering up and down the stairs and his calming napping in my office. He was never far from my side and I miss him like crazy!

In my heart, I know we provided Tramp with a loving home and that he is now running free and brave, chasing deer, cats and rabbits.

Love you always Tramp – you are the best!”
