Hi, I'm Reggie. I have been a dog person my whole life. I was introduced to the boxer breed by Paul (my now recent ex husband). He brought Sydney to live with me when she was 5 months old. I was instantly hooked. She was the sweetest dog ever, but unfortunately she had bad kidneys. We nursed her and gave her a good life, but she only stayed with us 4 1/2 short years. I was introduced to NorCal by some coworkers who had attended a "petfair". They brought me a pamphlet. I checked out the web site. When I read Cooper's story, I knew he was meant to be with me. I adopted Cooper in October 2004. We lost Sydney in November 2004. After a grieving period and a ski trip, I started volunteering for NorCal in February 2005. I think I am currently fostering my 12th and 13th foster. It is amazing the resiliency of these dogs and the ignorance of humans. I am proud to be associated with this organization. I hope to be around a long time.
