We Need Your Help!
NCBR was founded in 1998 and since that time, we have given literally thousands of dogs a second chance at life and provided as many families with a grateful and loving companion. However, NONE of this would have been possible without the help and dedication of our volunteers. Simply stated, we have GREAT volunteers! They are truly the backbone of NCBR.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, have a variety of skills and interests and can't possibly be described with a single word. They are energetic, resourceful, focused, supportive, helpful, patient, efficient, reliable, committed, effective, enthusiastic, caring, dedicated, insightful, dependable, and most importantly, they have an unmatched love for and desire to help these wonderful, deserving dogs. Without our volunteers, none of the work we do would be possible.
As you can imagine, NCBR is always in need of more volunteers; however, many people believe that the only way to help is to foster a dog or to give money. While we certainly appreciate both of these contributions immensely, there are actually MANY ways you can participate:
- Transport a Boxer to/from a shelter, vet or foster home
- Volunteer at adoption events
- Perform Home Visits for potential adopters
- Start a fundraiser
- Help with and/or participate in our special events, like Vegas Night, Boxers in the Ruff Golf Tournament or Bikers for Boxers
- Perform shelter evaluations on Dogs in Need
- Donate supplies on our Wish List
- Solicit donations (dog food, toys, etc.)
- Sponsor a Boxer in foster care
As you can see, there are volunteer opportunities available for everyone, even if you only have a few hours a week to spare. Many of you who visit our website regularly and are familiar with NCBR know that we are in an almost constant battle with finances; however, without our dedicated volunteers, all the money in the world could not have saved the number of Boxers we have been able to save throughout the years. Our volunteers are truly the lifeblood of NCBR, and we are extremely grateful they are willing to give so much of themselves to help us “Leave No Boxer Behind!”
