If you are looking for a big personality in a small package you need to meet Miss Mabel. What she lacks in size, this “pocket boxer or mini Boxer” who is below 40 pounds, makes up for in personality. This kid loves her toys; squeaky toys and toys that make noise in particular. She will entertain herself running back and forth with toys and chewing on both goat’s horns and water buffalo horns. Mabel also plays fetch and she will actually bring the ball back!
When she’s finally tuckered out, she will settle within a few minutes and sleep quietly in her crate. Mabel is working very hard on learning to sit quietly or settle for the good stuff in life us humans have to offer. Mabel knows sit and shake so far. She also knows to sit at doors and for her food.
She will need continued work on impulse control and leash walking manners. Since she has a lot of exuberance, it’s best for Mabel to be in a home with older, dog savvy kids. We expect Mabel to thrive in a home that is on the quieter side.
