Shati is a sweet girl who is really coming out of her shell in a short period of time. She is a wiggly nugget, very excited to see her humans in the morning and do a good morning walk. She wiggles every time she sees her people – but so far keeps her feet on the ground and not on her people. She is doing very well with the resident blind rescue Boxer, they shadow each other around, and she does engage in play with him, albeit in a slower manner. She is very calm – she just gets excitable wiggles when she’s around her people. She is a great work-at-home partner too, napping while Mom does her work on the computer. She is house trained, and takes care of her business on frequent stretch/lunch breaks, etc. She does well in her crate, although she would probably be fine on her own during the night. Shati walks well on a leash, stays right beside her handler, and doesn’t pull – that’s a plus! She seems to be doing very well in our quiet neighborhood out on 5 acres. Small prey drive, just shows an interest while on leash. She does not seem to be dog reactive, although she has not been around other dogs save for the resident dog. She is however, reactive to door bells and the game show Family Feud when the correct answer is revealed/bell rings – she thinks it’s the door! And a good car rider – doesn’t seem to be stressed with that at all.
