Koda – November, 2015

Koda found his fur-ever home with Chad & Colette B. and family.

“We just wanted to share with you a few photos of our Boy!!! We can’t tell you all enough how happy we are now that we have Koda in our family!! He is such a loving and affectionate boy! He is fitting into our lives like he had always belonged to us!

We are continuously lavished with kisses and Mackenzie has even discovered that he is really great at giving “high fives”!!! I wanted to share with you the dog treat recipe because it is a keeper! We have named it “Koda’s Candy” because he loves them like they are candy!!!
We hope you are all having a wonderful day!”

Warmest regards,
Chad, Colette, Quin, Mackenzie and, of course, Koda

One Year Update

“November 15th was our 1 year adoption anniversary!!! Our Guy is fantastic and loving our new home here in Austin! He really loves the huge backyard…. as do we. He has recently joined a doggie daycare 2 days a week and is working with a trainer to learn how to be in a large group of dogs. He is making really great progress and we are so happy for him to be able to be in a group of his kind!? He continues to shower us with love and affection daily and we just couldn’t be happier! He is a true “couch potato” and is always where his people are (in true boxer fashion).”

Warmest regards,
Chad, Colette, Quin, Mackenzie and of course Koda?

Koda’s Candy

1 cup pumpkin purée
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 large eggs

1/2 cup of old fashioned oats
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 carrot peeled and grated
1 small zucchini grated
1 cup baby spinach chopped

Beat the first 3 ingredients well then add the oats and continue to beat then add whole wheat flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Add carrots, zucchini, and spinach and blend. Roll out on a floured surface cut and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Next time I think I will use brown rice flour instead of whole wheat flour to keep them gluten free!!
