Jaxon has the most adorable dopey face and a sweet, loving personality once he gets to know you. He loves spending time with his people and is fully convinced he’s a 75-pound lap dog.
Jaxon walks well on leash, is completely house trained, and will let you know when he needs to go outside. While he’s wonderful in the home, he can be nervous around strangers and unfamiliar people on walks. He’s currently working on desensitization and redirection training, and does well when his attention is calmly redirected. With continued guidance and confidence-building, Jaxon has so much potential to become more comfortable enjoying the outside world as much as he enjoys relaxing at home.
Jaxon would thrive in a calm, structured home with confident, experienced adopters who can continue helping him build confidence. He would do best with people who are home more often than not and committed to continuing his training journey. He enjoys daily exercise and typically walks about two miles a day, but he’s equally happy lounging around with his favorite humans afterward.
