Jamba – October 2022

Jamba was a failed Foster. He came to our house from months of recovery in the care of NCBR’s great vet network. Nonetheless, his little tail was in constant wag mode and just an incredibly happy guy!  He’d been through some rough days and was in need of a home to heal in, yet it turns out, he was the one that healed us!  We had lost both our Boxers in the months earlier and he brought more love and energy than we could have hoped for.

Almost immediately Jamba decided he was going to be a part of our family. We fell in love instantly, and he gave it right back to us 10 times more! In our short time with him, he had passed with flying colors in obedience training, had learned to shake a paw and other tricks and we had even begun teaching him to swim in the pool! He was 80lbs of pure love and the perfect gentleman. He loved being around people and other dogs and had become best friends with his very small (10lbs) older brother. Walking them together was like the K9 version of the movie Twins…people would smile seeing them together.  We were so proud of him! … It never occurred to us that we would be saying goodbye so soon….we are to say the least, absolutely devastated. We love him with all of our hearts and it hurts very much so say goodbye.

Our hearts are broken but we are thankful that he spent it the short time he had with us. Thanks to NCBR and all of the volunteers for trusting us with him. Please know that he passed peacefully cuddling in our lap filled with love.

With heavy heart,

Matt and Isabel
