Mia – November, 2015

“We adopted Mia and her sister, Ella, in April 2007 from NCBR. They filled our lives with joy and laughter. Mia was a special dog in that she could sense when anyone was having a hard time. She would refuse to leave their side. She was also exceptionally stubborn and continued to test rules up until the last moment. She did things on her terms. She reluctantly followed commands and yet refused to do tricks. She was also one of the toughest dogs we’ve ever known. She loved to play with our daughters toys, especially her electric drums and piano. She was loved by everyone she ever came into contact with. She was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy in May 2015 and we said goodbye on November 25, 2015. We miss her daily but know that she is running freely with her sister again. Thank you to NCBR for allowing us the opportunity to have Mia and Ella in our lives. They truly saved us during some very difficult times.”
