Leeloo – August, 2016

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we said goodbye to our best bud Leeloo today. After 2 major heart episodes where she stopped breathing in our arms, turned ghostly white, gasped and then came back to us and after seeing the vet who said there was nothing else we could do, we took her to the river for a bit of fun with DJ. Of course, lavished her with yummy food and held her tight as she crossed the rainbow bridge. She was a fierce competitor (she learned to be a great swimmer, racing her buddy Koufax the lab for a ball in a lake), she loved her family (she would always check all the rooms after anybody visited and had left), she was a fighter (the vet she should have passed away last week with all her heart problems), and she will always have a very special place in our hearts forever!”
