Miss Molly – November, 2009

I just wanted to let you know that last evening (November 12, 2009) Miss Molly crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She continued to have severe remodeling of her spine especially her cervical and thoracic vertebrae. This impinged on the nerves exiting those areas. Although she was not in pain, she became unable to coordinate her gait, stumbled and occasionally fell over. She often knuckeled under on her front legs. Even with steroidal therapy, there was not enough improvement for her to be safe in her environment.

Miss Molly was a tremendous addition to my life, a joy to all who met her, and she will be greatly missed. A senior Boxer when she came into my life, my hope was to make her later years comfortable and joyful. I think in that I was successful.
