Moses

Moses – May 2020

It is with a heavy heart that Lindsay Webb McCauley and I had to help our sweet Moses, a Norcal boxer alum, cross the rainbow bridge. While we are completely heartbroken it is mitigated by the immeasurable amount of joy he brought to our family.

He came to us as a senior rescue on Dec. 23 2014 as a broken dog. He was severely malnourished, had an eye issue and multiple sutures from having multiple growths removed but he had these soulful eyes that just begged to be loved because you could tell he had so much love to give if given the chance.

We told him that first day that we didnt know what happened in his first chapter of life but it was over forever. The 2nd chapter he would have 3 meals a day, a bed to sleep in, a couch to lay on, toys to play with, a furbrother to wrestle with and all the love he could handle.

We quickly learned he was a very fast eater, a phenomenal sleeper, a worthy wrestler to his brother Harold, a toy hog (he would let Harold play them but they were ultimately his) and the best kisser ever.

He was at heart a mama’s boy. He always had to know where Lindsay was and would always follow her everywhere.

I hope, sweet Moses, your second chapter was as awesome for you as it was for us.

We never thought we would have you this long but it was still too damn short.

While you are not with us physically, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

We love you Moses…..until we meet again.
