Don’t let her dark coloring fool you, Zoey is a bit of a firecracker. Zoey will entertain both you and herself. She loves to play with about anything and will amuse herself well playing with plush toys (especially with squeakers) and will even do zoomies all by herself in the yard. But what Zoey loves best is to play dog with the other resident and foster dogs/pups in the household. The more, the merrier. Zoey is all boxer in her interactions and has the stamina to wear out each of your adult dogs in turn. Once she is worn out she is happy to snuggle on the floor or couch with the hoomans and entertain you with her cute little snores. Zoey is also very curious but cautious with the resident kitties and minds her manners with them under her foster Mom’s watchful eye.

Zoey walks very nicely on leash; does not pull, stays by your side and is not reactive. She knows sit, down, give paw, sits for her food bowl, attention and treats. Zoey crates well all night without any complaining and is doing really well with her potty training. Zoey is food motivated and learns new things easily. She can be a little overwhelming for the adult dogs in our household so her interactions with the adults is well supervised. She is also being fostered with three other pups that are larger and older than her. At times she goes a bit Wild Child and even overwhelms them with her exuberant puppy play but the majority of the time they all just wear each other out; so this little girl is fit as a fiddle.

Not only is this little gem gorgeous (and let’s face it – everything goes well with black), she will definitely add sparkly energy to your household.

*Puppies will only be adopted to a home with a preexisting adult dog, no children under age five, no unfenced pools, and where the puppy will not be home alone for long hours.
